There’s something about having a mirror in an entryway that just brightens things up. It’s pretty much a must when decorating. I’m guilty of not having one though! So, I decided to take a $1 mirror from Dollar Tree and “step it up a notch”.
By now you probably know that I am a Dollar Tree lovin’ kind of DIY gal. It’s my “go to” place for decorating on a budget. The thing about decorating is that styles tend to change as the years go on, so why spend so much on decor when you can get the look for less. Just a little creativity has to come in play…
Here’s a great tip about mirrors when adding them to your home decor, they make a smaller space look bigger. Why not decorate your whole house with mirrors, right?! (just kidding… could you even imagine a place like that?!)
Anyways, I was in a dilemma of what I should create for this Friday’s post ( I mean it was bound to happen at some point with all the posts I have written, right?!…) I was at the Dollar Tree with Little Johnny who wasn’t as thrilled to be there, so I had to make my trip quick! I rushed down the aisles (literally) but I just couldn’t figure out what I wanted to make, until…I discovered it…a rectangle mirror that was tucked away by the picture frames. I rushed back to the flower aisle and picked up a few decorative items to “step this mirror up a notch”. And let me just say…I’m LOVING the end result.
Not bad for a $5 splurge. 🙂 Here’s the reveal!
Grab your hot glue gun and come join me in the fun with making this beautiful mirror!
$5 Flower Garland Mirror
- 2 flower arragements (I went with the off white and peachy pink color)
- burlap ribbon
- hot glue gun
- green leaf garland (I purchased 2, but I ended up just using 1)
1. Hot glue the burlap ribbon around the edges of the mirror
2.arrange the garland to your liking and then hot glue to the corners of the mirror
3. pull off about 5 individual flowers from their arrangements and hot glue to the bottom of the mirror

Wishing you well,
